Student Membership

Students from all institutions of higher learning (colleges, polytechnics and universities) are strongly encouraged to form student organizations as CPI chapter members. Students can be very instrumental in signing a pledge of honor code to observe all academic honesty in respect of academic integrity in their learning process. Students can stand against any incidences of academic fraud in their institutions and promote an academic environment that is free from cheating scandals, unethical and immoral circumstances affecting their learning.

Steps to charter a student chapter:

There shall be one student chapter per institution and the chapter must nominate one or two faculty advisers and get their consent to serve in this capacity.
Follow your institution’s guidelines for establishing a student chapter. Generally, institutions will require the chapter to submit student chapter bylaws.
Assemble a minimum of five students who meet the basic membership requirements. Student chapter leadership should consist of the following positions, but not limited to: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, membership chair, programming chair. Programming is highly important and will drive the success of the chapter.
Schedule the first meeting where students can sign up. The CPI can supply applications and promotional literature for the first meeting.
To complete the charter application form (insert link to online form).
Submit all the completed forms. Once these materials have been received, you will be notified that your school has fulfilled all necessary requirements and that a chapter has been chartered.
All the chapter executive officers and the faculty advisor(s) will receive a confirmation email of charter approval and certificate of membership.
